Beautiful timelapse video (1 minute long) of the Perseid meteor shower and the galactic core of the Milky Way as seen from the Joshua Tree National Park. 

The photographs were taken between 12 August 2010 and15 August 2010.

This is one of the most beautiful places/events I have ever seen. I can’t imagine how breathtaking it must have been in person. Even without the meteor showers  Joshua Tree National Park is incredibly gorgeous [on my list of places of the west I wish to go visit].
